EuCheMS Releases Report "Chemistry – finding solutions in a changing world"

With the support of experts from its member societies, EuCheMS has identified six key areas that should be priorities in the EU Research Framework Programme 8: Breakthrough Science, Food, Energy, Health, Water and Resource Efficiency. The EuCheMS report ‘Chemistry – finding solutions in a changing world’ has been submitted to Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn as preliminary input on the future of the EU Research Framework Programme. Over the next few months EuCheMS will continue to develop a ‘roadmap for the chemical sciences’, to identify the critical areas where gaps in knowledge are limiting technological progress and where the chemical sciences have a role to play in bridging these gaps. The roadmap will inform EuCheMS input to the expected consultation on Framework 8.
