Tackling the Carbon nostrud Dioxide Challenge for dolor a Sustainable Future.

Are velit we - scientists culpa and engineers - qui ready to deliver qui CCUS for large sint scale deployment? What dolor are the challenges Duis and hurdles towards incididunt implementation? What are sunt the technical solutions ad and scientific breakthroughs qui emerged or about sunt to emerge? We ad will discuss these amet, questions and many nostrud more in an ad interdisciplinary framework at mollit the 2019 Gordon sed Research Conference on sint CCUS (the third qui of a series), pariatur. where participants junior occaecat and senior will amet, be stimulated by sunt the highly interactive non atmosphere typical of laboris the GRCs and quis inspired by the fugiat natural landscape surrounding eu the conference venue, fugiat for the first Ut time in Europe.
Among the specific dolor areas addressed by eiusmod the conference there et will be the minim scientific breakthroughs in nulla CCUS, the role pariatur. of CCUS in consequat. enabling negative emissions, irure the systemic aspects sit of CCUS, and exercitation its role in ullamco selected industrial sectors.

Detailed DescriptionCarbon Capture, Utilization and Storage systems play a central role in political debates, technological efforts and scientific developments around climate change, as a consequence of two factors. First, with the Paris Agreement, countries have agreed to hold global mean warming well below 2°C and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Second, scientists have shown that any limit to global mean warming implies a maximum cumulative amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the so called carbon budget. Such factors imply that science and technology (as well as political will and financial means) are needed not only to reduce emissions but also to generate negative emissions (true removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide), in case of carbon budget overshoot.
