SGMS Award

The Swiss Group for Mass Spectrometry (SGMS) Award is awarded to a promising scientist working in Switzerland, or a promising Swiss scientist working abroad, for outstanding independent research in the field of MASS SPECTROMETRY. At the time of the award nomination deadline the candidate should be younger than 40.

Nomination for 2018:

The nomination should be done by a senior colleague, but self-nominations are also welcome.

A nomination must include:

  • up to two letters of support
  • a brief curriculum vitae of the proposed nominee
  • a list of the nominee's scientific publications.

The deadline for all documents to reach the SGMS is December 31, 2017. An international committee will evaluate the candidates and will decide about the winner in early 2018. The award ceremony takes place at the annual SGMS meeting and includes a plenary presentation given by the awardee.
