Target Group
Interactive Seminar for PhD students, Postdocs as well as junior scientists from industry to get in contact with flow chemistry and get them ready to start with it in the lab.

Confirmed Speakers

Prof. Dr. Gianvito Vilé, Politechnico Milano (ITA)
Dr. Claudio Battilocchio, Syngenta Crop Protection AG

Program
Active participation is key for all attendees. A good mix between

  • theoretical lectures,
  • reports of concrete projects from industry,
  • interactive workshops/panel discussions and
  • short presentations by participants

will guarantee a maximum of impact. Each participant brings along a specific challenge out of his daily lab work and will presents poster of his/her current work.

The seminar will focus on relevant issues of process chemistry such as

  • Batch to flow
  • Flow reaction optimization
  • Safety issues
  • Scaling up
  • Reactors and reactor design

Organizers
Prof. Roger Marti, HEIA-FR
Dr. Marc-Andre Mueller, dsm-firmenich
Dr. Claudio Battilocchio, Syngenta Crop Protection

The seminar is an initiative of the Swiss Flow Chemistry Network of the SCS
