The SCS Seminars are three-days education seminars that focus on topics that are relevant for the Swiss chemical and pharmaceutical industry but are not enough considered during the academic education at universities.

**The Seminar was initially planned to take place in February 2022. Due to the covid-19 situation, the organizing committee decided to shift the event to June 2022.

Focus Topics
The seminar will focus on relevant issues of flow chemistry such as

  • Batch to flow
  • Flow reaction optimization
  • Safety issues
  • Scaling up
  • Reactors and reactor design

Teaching Body and Invited Speakers

  • Dr. Marc-André Müller, DSM
  • Dr. Dominique Roberge, Lonza
  • Dr. Claudio Battilocchio, Syngenta
  • Dr. Roger Marti, HEIA-FR
  • Dr. Michal Dabros, HEIA-FR
  • Dr. Alexandra Kämpfer-Homsy, HE-ARC
  • Dr. Samuel Bourne, CarboGen AMCIS
  • Dr. Mathieu Lesieur, Sovias
  • Dr. Benjamin Martin, Novartis
  • 4 Presentations by Flow Chemistry Suppliers

Preparation

Each participant has to…

  • submit a short abstract of his current lab work while registration
  • present a poster (format A0) on the first evening
  • consider one step of a synthesis, the preparation of a compound or a process that can be discussed for application in flow chemistry.

Please use the abstract template.

Certification

Each participant will get a certification showing the discussed and the acquired competences.

Two new online programs: Let's Keep the Chemistry flowing

Even in these historic times we at ThalesNano and it’s sister company ComInnex believe that we should make everything in our power to keep the chemistry flowing and prepare for the world that comes after the Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, we are launching two programs:
  • At ThalesNano: We have established a new virtual demo team. With interactive live-streamed chemistry demonstrations we are able to help you make an informed decision about selecting the right instrument for their needs. We also offer video install guides and virtual, remote installation remote services for our customers. For details please contact us at !
  • At ComInnex: Synthetic and medicinal chemistry services to keep projects moving. Our labs are so far operating normally so if you are having to put projects on hold we can help. To facilitate this we guarantee rapid onboarding with 24-hour contract or quote turnaround, projects of any size (small or large) on FTE or fixed fee basis, preferential rates. Please contact  for more information.
We wish you safe passage through this difficult period.
