Call for Contributions is open until April 14, 2013

 

The Swiss Chemical Society Fall Meeting is the largest annual scientific congress organized in Switzerland. Last year, more than 600 scientific contributions were presented at the Fall Meeting held at the ETH in Zurich.

The event offers a unique opportunity for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and senior scientists from both, academic and industry, to share and exchange the results of their research. It also allows chemists to exchange ideas, often creating the seeds for new projects and collaborations.

The Fall Meeting 2013 takes place at EPF Lausanne on September 6, 2013.

Ausschreibung - Preis für Theoretische Chemie

Logo AGTCDie Arbeitsgemeinschaft Theoretische Chemie, zu deren Trägern die GDCh gehört, hat den Hans G. A. Hellmann-Preis für Theoretische Chemie ausgeschrieben. Vorschläge können bis am 15. März 2013 eingereicht werden. 

Der Preis wird gemäß den Richtlinien (siehe auch www.tc.chemie.uni-siegen.de/hellmann) für hervorragende wissenschaftliche Leistungen aus dem Gesamtbereich der Theoretischen Chemie an jüngere Nachwuchswissenschaftler(innen) (i.a. nicht über 40 Jahre) verliehen, die noch keine Lebenszeit-Professur innehaben und die der deutschsprachigen Forschungslandschaft verbunden sind.

Editorial

After the wealth of activities during the International Year of Chemistry 2011 it was a challenge to keep the momentum alive and strengthen the Swiss Chemical Society (SCS). At the forefront its strive for public awareness of chemistries contributions, of the challenges ahead, chemistry’s role in their resolve, and the SCS’s endeavor to keep abreast of the development of new areas in the field.
