Weiterbildungsangebote zur Pinch-Analyse an der Hochschule Luzern
Die Hochschule Luzern hat in den vergangenen Jahren mit Unterstützung des Bundesamt für Energie (BFE) und der Energie-Agentur der Wirtschaft (EnAW) die benutzerfreundliche Software PinCH für die praktische und kostengünstige Durchführung von Pinch-Analysen in der Industrie entwickelt. Neben der Software bietet unser BFE-Stützpunkt umfassende Unterstützung im Bereich Pinch-Analysen an (www.pinch-analyse.ch). Eine wichtige Aufgabe ist die Aus- und Weiterbildung von Fachkräften.

Salary Survey for Chemists working in Switzerland
In collaboration with the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) the SCS Division of Industrial & Applied Chemistry (DIAC) organized a salary and compensation survey for chemists working in Switzerland. A wide range of compensation factors like age, gender, education, working region, working experience, managing level, and others were analyzed and aligned to fix and variable compensation shares. The team around Prof. Christian Grund of the RWTH Aachen (Germany) analyzed 265 surveys with data records from 2014 including 102 answers from SCS Members.
The results reveal correlations between the main factors of common compensation models but show also some interesting new findings. Please note that the details of the study are available to survey participants only. The next survey will probably rolled out in early 2016 and if you like to be part of it you can register as an SCS and DIAC member respectively.

SCCER Annual Conference 2015: Efficiency of Industrial Processes

The vision of the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research on Efficiency of Industrial Processes (SCCER EIP) is to enhance the energy efficiency of the Swiss process industry.
Research and development within the SCCER EIP addresses systems at different scales, from individual process units to integrated processes up to integrated sites connected with their surroundings, with a focus on technological innovation but also addressing organisational and managerial
aspects.
New concepts and processes, innovations and demonstration facilities are being developed, tested and evaluated to enable the industry sector to reach its energy efficiency targets according to the “Energy Strategy 2050” for Switzerland and to improve its competitiveness.
The Annual Conference 2015 will provide an opportunity for all participants to discuss the potentials for energy efficiency in the process industry and to get an update about scientific highlights from the research activities.
