Medicinal chemists need to understand the relationship between chemical structure and the physical properties of molecules and how this translates into compound stability and the interaction of the molecule with biological structures.  These biological targets include proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and cell membranes.  

Our theme this year will be: "The New Age of Healthcare" We want to reflect the rapidly changing world of healthcare and research and how new developments can shape the next ten years of health, treatment, and research.

Was bringt die Zukunft? Unsere Studierenden werden sie gestalten. Deshalb erarbeiten wir bereits jetzt zusammen mit unseren Partnern aus Industrie und Forschung neueste Technologien, die die Produktionsprozesse von morgen abbilden. Ganz im Sinne einer Fachhochschule steht dabei der praxisnahe Einsatz im Vordergrund.

The ICMSE is a unique event in the emerging field of molecular systems engineering, and has the potential of leading to a long-term paradigm shift in molecular sciences. Prior to the ICMSE, a pre-conference for students and postdocs will be held.

The conference aims to determine the state of the art in the field of economic theory of innovation and stimulate further work to better understand the innovation process. Delegates will explore the rate-limiting or critical steps at each stage of the process and then carefully evaluate how different factors influence the outcome.

This international meeting of high scientific calibre will bring together leading scientists to feature the latest advances within the broad field of Chemical Biology and foster an open and dynamic dialogue!

We wish to expose delegates to new areas of research and allow for the cross pollination of ideas. New international collaborations and increased international visibility will hopefully be the outcome of this unique learning experience that comprises extensive poster sessions, ample time for discussion after each talk and opportunities for targeted networking.

Three hundred participants from Swiss universities, various research institutes in Switzerland and neighbouring countries are expected to attend.

This event will explain challenges and present new approaches of diagnostics. It aims at an interested audience who would like to be updated and who wants to meet other experts. This event is co-organized with the Förderverein swissbiolabs, who organizes also the Swiss Diagnostics Start-Up Day on June 21st with the support of BaselArea.swiss.

The Swiss NMR Symposium is a biennial one-day symposium that brings together researchers from all fields of magnetic resonance in Switzerland.

34^th Annual Meeting of the Swiss Working Group for Surface and Interface Science. 
The meeting is particularely valuable for PhD students working in the fields of nano-, surface and interface sciences. This one-day meeting is most likely the best of its kind anywhere.
