Workshop on Tips and tricks for the crystal growth of inorganic materials
Start Date | 26.08.2024 - 08:00 |
Event End | 27.08.2024 - 16:00 |
Location | Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) Forschungsstrasse 111 5232 Villigen PSI |
The meeting proposes an exciting scientific program covering topics from the main growth techniques used to prepare crystals of inorganic materials to theoretical prediction work. The workshop will enable further discussions and collaborations between internationally leading specialists in crystal growth and condensed matter physics. Young researchers are highly encouraged to contribute to the field and to engage in discussions with the crystal growth experts present at the meeting.
The workshop will start Monday, August 26th, 2024 at 9 AM and end on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, mid-afternoon. The program consists of invited and contributed oral presentations, as well as posters. The contributed oral presentations will be selected on the basis of the submitted abstracts.
Invited Speakers:
- Prof. Dr. Geetha Balakrishnan, University of Warwick, United Kingdom
- Prof. Dr. Anna Böhmer, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany
- Dr. Christo Guguschev, Leibniz-Institut für Kristallzüchtung, Germany
- Prof. Dr. Tomasz Klimczuk, Politechnika Gdańska, Poland
- Dr. Karl Krämer, Universität Bern, Switzerland
