The organizing committee of the International Summer School on Semiconductor Nanocrystals 2026, that took place in Haute-Nendaz from August 16-20, 2026, awarded two students with the Chemistry Europe Best Poster Award. The posters were presented in one of the two poster session. Visit the respective website for some photos of the sessions.

The SCS and the organizing committee like to take the opportunity to congratulates the winners again:

Jayashree Narayan from FU Berlin, for her poster entitled
«Machine Learning Models for Quantum Dots»

Ole Dressler from ETH Zürich, for his poster with the title
«Phase-Pure and Size-Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots»

The Best Poster award is endowed with a certificate and a cash cheque of CHF 100.00.

The International Summer School on Semiconductor Nanocrystals 2026 was a multi-day school in the Swiss Alps. It offered a platform to students and junior postdocs for scientific exchange with peers and with experts in the field. Students were actively involved themselves by presenting a poster on their own research.

The Summer School covered a broad spectrum of topics linked to the development and understanding of semiconductor nanocrystals. These included synthesis procedures of various classes of materials, structural characterization in real and reciprocal space, and optical and electronic properties.

This Summer school was organized by the SCS Division of Materials Chemistry in collaboration with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network Track the Twin (https://trackthetwin.ugent.be
