The next EuChemS Chemistry Congress will feature a dedicated highlighted theme entitled: “Responsible Chemistry for Society: Education, Ethics, History & Cultural Heritage.”

Within this theme, there will be a full session on Chemistry for the Study and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, moderated by Maite Maguregui with Federica Pozzi (Director of Scientific Laboratories at the Centro per la Conservazione ed il Restauro dei Beni Culturali “La Venaria Reale”, Turin, Italy), who will join us as the Invited Speaker.

In addition, the field will be represented at the highest level for the first time: Katrien Keune has been selected as one of the four Plenary Speakers of the congress— an exceptional milestone and a clear recognition of the importance of heritage science within the broader chemical sciences.

We believe these developments mark a significant step forward for our community, further strengthening the presence and impact of cultural heritage science within EuChemS.

We hope to see as many of you at the 10th EuChemS Chemistry Congress, Antwerp, Belgium, 12-16 July 2026
