What is the significance of climate and resources for the chemical, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries? scienceindustries is demonstrating this with its recently adopted sustainability strategy. The commitment associated with this is illustrated in a newly launched film (DE) featuring the scienceindustries members Arxada, BASF, Lonza, Nestlé, Roche and Sika.

Climate and resources: these are just two of the key topics of the recently launched sustainability strategy of scienceindustries and its members. The new film ‘Climate & Resources: Sustainable Innovation in Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences’ by scienceindustries (available in German and French) shows the commitment to these priorities with examples from the companies Arxada, BASF, Lonza, Nestlé, Roche and Sika. Our member companies are addressing the priorities of climate and resources at various levels and with two lines of approach. On the one hand, these are operational measures: these often go beyond public requirements, particularly with regard to net-zero emissions.

On the other hand, the products of the members of scienceindustries make a significant contribution to global sustainability. Our members' commitment concerns not only the health sector, but the entire chemical and life sciences industry, as well as a large number of downstream industries, e.g. in the production of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, or for electric mobility. This makes it all the more important to have effective framework conditions such as freedom of research, openness to technology, and sustainable chemicals regulation.
