The Materials for Sustainable Development Conference (MATSUS Fall 25) will be held in Valencia, Spain from the 20th to the 24th October 2025.
The conference will be held at the SH Valencia Palace.
With over 24 symposia, this conference offers a comprehensive exploration of key topics in materials science, chemistry, and engineering—disciplines that are critical to shaping a more sustainable future. Achieving sustainability requires using resources at a rate slower than their natural regeneration and addressing the embodied energy of manufacturing in relation to the energy it delivers.
The conference addresses a broad sustainability agenda, including the development of alternative energy technologies to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, improve energy efficiency, and lessen the environmental impact of technological and economic progress. It also emphasizes responsible materials use, environmental health and safety, and other vital aspects of sustainable development.
Bringing together fundamental, multidisciplinary research and applied science, the program blends scientific depth with practical relevance, all within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Abstract submission deadline (poster): 22nd September 2025
