Call for Nominations deadline extended 31 Jan 2026.
The IUPAC-Soong Prize for Sustainable Chemistry is a high-profile prize awarded annually to an outstanding scientist for a breakthrough or conceptual advance, highlighting the discovery rather than the laureate’s luminous career. In July 2025, the first award was presented to Prof. Omar M. Yaghi at the IUPAC World Chemistry Congress, for Pioneering Reticular Chemistry and its use for Carbon Capture and Water Harvesting from Air. The second award will be presented during the 10th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC10), July 12-16 2026, in Antwerp, Belgium.
