Six mentors and around 20 mentees—chemists ranging from Master’s students to postdoctoral researchers—came together for a workshop focused on preparing for future job interviews.
Using previously prepared CVs and motivation letters, mentors conducted mock interviews and provided individualized feedback on both application documents and interview performance. Topics included CV structure and con-tent, interview preparation, communication style, and body language.
By the end of the session, mentees left feeling more confident and with a realistic insight into the hiring process, having experienced it from the interviewee’s perspective and having heard firsthand from the hiring manager. The evening concluded with lively discussions and networking
