SCS events

The ‘SCS Conference on Stereochemistry’, better known as ‘Bürgenstock Conference’, is an outstanding international chemistry meeting of high scientific quality, with an optimal setting for intense inter-disciplinary discussion.

Annual meeting of the Division of Industrial & Applied Chemistry (DIAC) and visit of Syngenta Crop Protection AG in Münchwilen. Registration is mandatory.

The event series with 1-2 events per year at Swiss universities enables students and PhDs to get an insight into process chemistry. Besides teaching the basics, an illustrative example from industry is discussed.

The event is for young environmental scientists to learn about job opportunities in chemical and chemical-related private companies.

The conference is organized as an on-site conference at the ETH Zürich. It serves as an interdisciplinary platform for expert discussions on all aspects of nanoparticles, freshly emitted from various sources, transformed in ambient air, distributed on local and global scale, on technical mitigation aspects, particle legislation, and impact of particles on health, environment, and climate.

The SCS Seminars are three-days educational event with a focus on topics relevant for the Swiss chemical and pharmaceutical industry but that are not necessarily part of the academic curricula. 

The 1^st Bern-SRC will have an exciting scientific programme that include 5 plenary lectures, 13 invited lectures and 1 poster session with world-leading speakers focused on modern aspects of synthetic organic chemistry using free radicals.

The event provides an innovative platform to exchange on the various aspects of drug development with a focus on peptides.

The Swiss Summer School in Chemical Biology aims to provide PhD students, Post-Docs and industrial scientists from Switzerland and abroad with an interactive seminar week in beautiful alpine settings to expand their scientific horizon with latest developments, present their own work as posters and short presentations, and interact with speakers from Academia and Industry for networking and career development.

The symposium offers insights into (semi-)non-targeted methods in analytical sciences and their specific applications in food chemistry.

Ilmac has its origins in the Swiss trade fair for international laboratory, measurement technology and automation in chemistry, which has been taking place since 1959. Today, the chemical and life science brand connects the industry both physically and digitally.

The evening will be a celebration of discovery and innovation in the chemical sciences.

This five-day Medicinal Chemistry School focuses on most modern aspects associated with small molecule drug discovery, highlighting the methodologies and technologies supporting hit generation, lead finding and lead optimization campaigns.
