SCS events

Local groups of the youngSCS organize events to foster better exchange between students and young PIs. This is the third edition of the BeNeFri Student Spring Symposium and, as in 2023, we are back in Fribourg, but this time at the University of Fribourg!

The ‘SCS Conference on Stereochemistry’, better known as ‘Bürgenstock Conference’, is an outstanding international chemistry meeting of high scientific quality, with an optimal setting for intense inter-disciplinary discussion.

Company visit of Arxada AG in Visp and Member Assembly of the Division of Industrial & Applied Chemistry (DIAC). Registration is mandatory.

The event series with 1-2 events per year at Swiss universities enables students and PhDs to get an insight into process chemistry. Besides teaching the basics, an illustrative example from industry is discussed.

The 'Patenting Workshop 2025' is a hands-on workshop for researchers in life sciences & chemistry and the program is specially built for PhDs students and Postdocs.

The event provides an innovative platform to exchange on the various aspects of drug development with a focus on peptides.

The Swiss Summer School on Materials Chemistry 2025 is a two days seminar course for students (MSc, PhD & post-doc level) with a strong interest in the field of materials sciences.

The 2^nd Swiss Symposium on Materials Chemistry 2025 (MatChem25) with linked a Summer School is one of the major events organized by the SCS Division of Materials Chemistry. The symposium dives into the future of sustainable materials, focusing on advanced characterization techniques and their role in paving the path for several breakthroughs in material science.

Summer School in organic synthesis with education lectures and industry input lectures.

The symposium provides a unique platform to bring together teachers and lecturers teaching at different levels such as Sek I, Sek II, universities of applied sciences (FH) and universities. The major objective is the dialogue between chemists working in education, research and industry.
