SCS events

The goal of this two-day conference series is to stimulate a stronger interaction among persons working in different areas of analytical sciences. Scientists from applied and fundamental research, from industry, education, and regulation are welcome.

This event is organized in cooperation with youngSCS and EFMC-Young Scientists Network.

The symposium is an initiative of the Photochemistry Section of the Swiss Chemical Society to promote the exchange within the photochemistry community in Switzerland and beyond.

The SCS Seminars are three-days educational event with a focus on topics relevant for the Swiss chemical and pharmaceutical industry but that are not necessarily part of the academic curricula. The first seminar in 2022 will focus on Flow Chemistry.

The SwissCat Symposium is the annual meeting of the respective SCS network and brings together experts in the field of homogeneous, heterogeneous and bio-catalysis. The event also serves as a central platform for the various organizations and networks active in the field of catalysis in Switzerland.

The event provides an innovative platform to exchange on the various aspects of drug development with a focus on peptides.

The SCS Fall Meeting offers a unique opportunity for all members of the community to share the results of their research initiatives. With nine parallel sessions, two plenary sessions and a huge poster session the event stimulates the exchange of ideas between all generations of chemists.

Four days summer school covering a wide range of chemical biology topics. 

The evening will be a celebration of discovery and innovation in the chemical sciences.

The symposium is aimed at colleagues from industry and academia who are interested in sustainable processes using flow technology and computer-aided self-learning systems.

Since 1959, ILMAC has been the sole Swiss industry fair for chemicals and life sciences that depicts all the industrial applications in process and laboratory technology. Focus topic: "Sustainable Solutions in Laboratory and Production".

This five-day Medicinal Chemistry School that is organized by the Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology of the SCS will focus on most modern aspects associated with small molecule drug discovery.

This 1-day visit in the Givaudan Head Quarter in Vernier, Geneva, will offer you an insight into the flagrance business and will allow you to connect with Givaudan employees on-site.

The SCS Seminar on IP 2022 with focus on  researchers, technology transfer managers, and others which are required to deal with life science related intellectual property, in particular patents, and enhance their capabilities to assess and manage patent related novelty, inventive step and freedom-to-operate risks.

The event series with 1-2 events per year at Swiss universities enables students and PhDs to get an insight into process chemistry. Besides teaching the basics, an illustrative example from industry is discussed.
