SCS events

The SCS Seminars are three-days educational event with a focus on topics relevant for the Swiss chemical and pharmaceutical industry but that are not necessarily part of the academic curricula.
The first seminar in 2017 will focus on issues of process chemistry.

Science meets Snow Sports!
The symposium takes place in Saas Fee again and combines science, networking and snow sport in a familiar atmosphere.

Target Audience:
Computational scientists and interested members of the academic and industrial chemistry community.

The international symposium will focus on state-of-the-art technologies and novel approaches in the field of medicinal chemistry. The scientific program will include plenary lectures, short lectures, and poster presentations.

The SCS Spring Meeting is a one day symposium and provides a high quality program with national and international speakers of a certain topic. It is also the platform for the Werner Price Ceremony and the Werner Award Lecture.

The 'SCS Conference on Stereochemistry’, better known as ‘Bürgenstock Conference’, is an outstanding international chemistry meeting of high scientific quality, with an optimal setting for intense inter-disciplinary discussion.

The objective of this biennial conference is to regularly provide our members and other interested chemists working in process development and production with opportunities for professional training and networking.

The SCS Fall Meeting is the largest, annual scientific event in Switzerland. It offers a unique opportunity for graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and scientists of all levels, from both, academia and industry, to share the results of their research projects.

The goal of the one-day event is to exchange best practice and to formulate strategies to strengthen the chemical education from primary school approaches up to academic studies at Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences.

Process analytical technology (PAT) has been demonstrated as one of the key driver for the future plant automation. More and more smart sensors will be analyzing the critical quality attributes of your product and critical asset performance indicators will provide you a clear picture of your over-all plant fitness. 

The 2017 annual spring meeting of the Division of Polymers and Colloids of the Swiss Chemical Society will take place at the Adolphe Merkle Institute of the University of Fribourg. Eight invited speakers from academia and industry, as well as a poster session are included.

ILMAC is the major Swiss fair for Process and Laboratory Technology. For the first time, the event is organized in the Romandie and will provide latest developments in process and laboratory technology with a focus on local providers and suppliers.

This symposium is an opportunity to strengthen the link between chemical industries and academic laboratory. It takes place every other year and each issue focus on a special topic. A poster session will round out the program and poster prices will award the best posters.

The 35th meeting of the SGMS will be held at the   Dorint Resort Blüemlisalp Beatenberg, October 25-26-27, 2017 high above Lake Thun in the Bernese Oberland, with a scenic view of the Swiss Alps!
